Architectural and Decorative Columns
Rather than piece together cut sections of stone to form a column, Rhodes Architectural Stone can carve monolithic or one-piece column shafts. For appropriate seismic zones, we bore out the central core to allow for a structural steel post to be inserted and grouted. When coupled with hand carved capitals and column bases, they create the entire column assembly. Standard column shafts are available in a 7” – 14” diameter, to an 84” maximum length as standard products in most new materials. Longer lengths may available by special order.
